ASA Flash Awards

The ASA Competitive Awards (Flash Awards) have been developed in conjunction with the British Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association to encourage and to confirm the level of competence of a swimmer in competitive swimming. Times required to achieve the awards are consistent with the ASA Graded Swimming Times and the Gold Standards approximate to average county age group qualifying times for 12 year olds, so when the Gold level is reached there is a good chance that the swimmer would qualify the ‘Counties’

Swimmers can track their progress through their first years of competitive swimming by collecting the ‘flash’ award whenever they achieve a ‘time’. Details of the required times and how to get award ‘flashes’ can be downloaded here.
