West Suffolk Swimming Club trains at three main venues (see club history). At present there are some 200 swimming members (and growing) with about the same number again of parents / officials. The swimming members are split almost equally between the two centres Haverhill and Bury St Edmunds) and are spread across our training squads which are based on the national guidelines for developing competitive swimming

Skills 1 (S1) links our junior squad with groups from the local swimming schemes

    Skill 2 (S2) - our ‘rookie’ squad

Training to Train (T2T) - our age group squad

Training to Compete (T2C) - our senior squad

    Disability Squad

MASTERS squad for adult swimmers (see the squad info page)

Ages range from just 8 years old up to ...... (perhaps best not to ask!). A lot of our transition swimmers join us from the St Edmundsbury Swim Scheme although members are welcomed from any age.

The club competes at a wide variety of galas with swims suitable for all ages and abilities, from local leagues through to national and international competitions (One of our swimmers, Dawn, represented Wales at the last Commonwealth Games).

If you think you may be interested in joining West Suffolk Swimming Club please use the link to our membership secretary on our contact us page.
